One of the country’s information technology firms, Malcom says its newly introduced MobiMax charge card will help Malawians make financial transaction with ease.
Malcom Chief Executive Officer Chris Kanyuka was speaking in Blantyre on Friday when he briefed reporters on some of the products the company is offering.
Kanyuka said MobiMax is a globally unique card that enables the card holder to access goods, services or cash without need for having money in the bank.
He said by using the MobiMax card, Malawians will be saved from using loan sharks, especially in the middle of the month.
Kanyuka said the tough economic times prevailing have resulted in many Malawians finding themselves in desperate situations as they have no money to access important things, especially in the middle of the month.
“And there are some commodities which cannot be bought straight from the salary because they are pricey. With MobiMax, that will be a thing of the past,” said Kanyuka.
He said with MobiMax, Malawians will have the opportunity to buy durable equipment such as TV sets as well as other electronic gadgets from the US on credit.
According to Kanyuka, Malcom is in the process of rolling out its point of sale devices in leading shops and hotels.
Malcom Limited is a Malawian ICT company registered under Companies Act in 2012 and has shareholders in USA, India and Malawi.
