Moyale Barracks FC coach shocked

Moyale Barracks FC Interim Coach, Charles Kamanga, was lost for words after his side produced “one of its worst performances” in recent years at home in the TNM Super League on Saturday.

“Losing like that is very painful. I have never lost like that at home. It was a very difficult situation for us and congratulations to Civil,” Kamanga said.

The Lions of Kaning’ina lost 3-0 to rejuvenated Civil Sporting Club at Mzuzu Stadium where Innocent Tanganyika, Joseph Kachule and Raphael Phiri were scorers.

Moyale’s star players such as Khuda Muyaba and Deus Mkutu failed to find a password for unlocking the visitors’ back-line.

On the other end, Moyale’s second-choice keeper, McDonald Harawa, who came in for injured Juma Chikwenga was at fault for Civil’s third goal.

It was Moyale’s first home league loss this season.

Civil Assistant Coach, Oscar Kaunda, attributed his side’s recent resurgence to harmony among the team’s coaching panel and officials.

“I am happy for that. Coordination has been good at Civil and also there is fighting spirit among the players. That is what is keeping us going,” he said.

Before Sunday’s games, Civil were on fourth place on the standings with 20 points.
