Malawi under-17 national football team defeated hosts Mauritius 2-0 in a dead-rubber Cosafa Youth Championship qualifier for Group A on Wednesday.
The junior Flames finished on top of the group and date favourites Zambia in the semi-final Friday.
Mauritians had already booked their place in the last-four prior to kick-off and will now take on South Africa in the knockout stages.
Malawi have cruised through their group with nine goals scored and none conceded to make them genuine gold medal candidates this year, having picked up the bronze last year.
Wednesday, Malawi scored goals in each half through Patrick Mwaungulu and Josephy Balakasi.
