The highly anticipated prize presentation for the Airtel Top 8 Cup is scheduled for Capital Hotel, Lilongwe, Friday.
Airtel Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Communications Manager, Norah Chavula-Chirwa, said they will dish out awards to individuals.
“As all participating and winning teams already received their prize money soon after the tournament, the event is to present the remaining prize money, totalling K2.2 million, to individual categories,” she said in a statement released yesterday.
During the gala, Airtel will present an award to a top scorer who will pocket K500,000 with a similar amount earmarked for man of the tournament and K200,000 for a top fan.
There will also be media awards which Sports Writers Association coordinated. The best in radio, television, online, photography and print will receive K200,000 each.
