Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has revised Airtel Top 8 Cup semi-final fixtures scheduled for this weekend.

FAM Marketing and Commercial Director, Limbani Matola, said Mulanje Park Stadium will not host the semi-final between Be Forward Wanderers and Moyale Barracks.

Matola said the game had been shifted to Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on Saturday because the Malawi Police Service had advised Fam that President, Peter Mutharika, will have a function on the same day in the district.

“So all the semi-finals will take place in Lilongwe. One at Bingu National Stadium and the other [Kamuzu Barracks versus Silver Strikers] at Civo Stadium on Sunday,” he said.

Matola also clarified that there would be no return legs in the semi-finals.

The Nomads sailed through to the semi- final after beating Azam Tigers 3-1 on aggregate in the quarter-final whereas Moyale saw off Mafco 6-2 on aggregate.

Elsewhere, Silver defeated Nyasa Big Bullets 1-0 over two legs in the quarter-finals whereas Kamuzu Barracks thumped Blue Eagles 6-2 on aggregate.
