US Christian rapper Da T.R.U.T.H. jetted into the country on Monday and is expected to hold three shows this weekend.

The rapper, real name Emmanuel Lee Lambert, who was in the country in 2013 and impressed during his performances, will have his first show at Squirrels Park in Mzuzu today courtesy of World Alive Ministries.

His second outing is at Gateway Mall in Lilongwe tomorrow.

The Lilongwe show, running under the theme Amplify The Truth, has been sponsored by Plan International and Timveni.

Timveni Executive Director Manyanda Nyasulu, said the event is set to be an experience, with a line-up of talented and influential musical artists.

“This is bound to be an event that will touch and inspire the lives of many to actively become a part of effecting social change, development and putting an end to issues which are plaguing our youth and children,” Nyasulu said.

The last show for the rapper is at Blantyre Cultural Centre on Sunday afternoon organised by Flood Church.

Some of the acts set to spice up the shows include David Kalilani, Faith Mussa, Jeremiah Chikhwaza, Suffix and South Africa’s Lilly Million.

Yamikani Kalizang’oma from Flood Church Blantyre said he was excited that Da T.R.U.T.H. is back in the country.

“The last time he was in the country he put up an incredible performance. By then he had just released a new album and this time he also has a new album titled It’s Complicated,” Kalizang’oma said.

He described the new album as good and that through the project he is trying to share his life and spend time with local acts.

The US rapper has moved souls with his music and some of his albums include The Faith and The Big Picture.
