Blantyre Events has organised a two-day city fair which will take place at Country Club in Limbe on April 29 and 30.

According to Events Manager Mayamiko Bvumbwe, the Blantyre City Fair is open to everyone and that it will be packaged with several activities.

“We are ready with this fair and we are inviting all companies in Blantyre, businesses both small and large scale and families to come and be part of this event,” Bvumbwe said.

She said there will be a lot of activities including horse and bike rides, kid’s city, free market and live performances.

“We intend to have this event every year with the support of the Blantyre City Council. This fair is unique in that we are bringing families and businesses together. We want to bring Blantyre businesses to the people,” Bvumbwe said.

She described the fair as a family day out that will provide all the much needed fun.

“It’s a two-day fair and we deliberately did that because we want people to have enough fun. We will have performances from artists such as Barry One, Fredokiss and Young K,” Bvumbwe said.

She also said that on Sunday, people will enjoy gospel vibes by female gospel singer Ethel Kamwendo Banda.

“As I said earlier, the fair is open to every Blantyre citizen and all other areas. The entry fee is actually affordable because we want more people to be part of the fair. The entry fee is K1000 a day,” Bvumbwe said.

She said as Blantyre Events they were excited to host the fair and called for support from people and the corporate world.

“We are calling upon people and the corporate world to come out and showcase their products. Companies should come for exhibition which is still open,” Bvumbwe said
