Super League of Malawi (Sulom) has announced that the 2017 TNM Super League season will kick off on May 6.
Sulom General Secretary, Williams Banda, said the launch is scheduled for Civo Stadium in Lilongwe with a match between reigning champions, Kamuzu Barracks and Fisd Challenge Cup kings, Be Forward Wanderers.
“Very soon will be realising first round fixtures, but the good thing is that the first game for the launch has been selected,” Banda said.
“It is customary that we first release first round fixtures then come up with second round fixtures. Very soon we will release full fixtures.”
Meanwhile, Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Club Licensing System Manager, Casper Jangale, has said he expects all teams to fulfil the licensing requirements before the kick off.
The kickoff has delayed after TNM pulled out sponsorship last month, before u-turning.
