Former Nyasa Big Bullets star, Swadick Sanudi, has been selected to undergo a goalkeepers’ trainer of trainers’ course for the Confederation of African Football (Caf) next month in Cameroon.
Football Association of Malawi (Fam) Technical Director, John Kaputa, said the former Flames shot-stopper was selected after presenting a strong curriculum vitae.
Currently, the country has no Caf certified goalkeepers’ trainer.
“He [Sanudi] was among four applicants and did selected because he has done well in previous courses,” Kaputa said.
He added that Sanudi stands a great chance to become a Caf licensed goalkeepers’ trainer.
Sanudi said he was delighted to earn the selection for the training.
“I met all the requirements. I have attended various goalkeeping courses. I also played for the Flames and I also played professional football,” he said.
“These were some of the requirements which they were looking for. Currently, I have started preparing for the course because I believe the knowledge I will gain will be helpful to the nation at large.”
