South Africa based boxer, Ernest Msoliza, has challenged Malawi national welterweight champion, Limbani Masamba, to a 12-round title contest scheduled for Lilongwe in June.
Masamba won the belt after knocking out Kudakwache Banda recently.
Masamba, who defeated Msoliza twice in 2015, has vowed to, during the Mala Professional Boxing Control Board-sanctioned fight, cement his championship credentials.
“I hope he will come prepared this time so that I should sweat to defend my belt,” said the No Pain No Gain Boxing Promotions boxer.
Msoliza said he will use his international exposure in South Africa to snatch the belt from Masamba.
Msoliza, who alongside Bright Mdoka relocated to South Africa to seek greener pastures, lost on their debut fights in that country last week.
New Dawn Boxing Promotions Managing Director, Mike Chimaliza, has agreed to promote the much sought-after bill.
“They have been training in a top gym in Johannesburg after impressing boxing trainers there. Msoliza fought in Durban last Sunday where he lost on points. Reports indicate that he fought very well,” Chimaliza said.
“People have been asking for him [Msoliza] and there is no other better boxer who can give Limbani a torrid time. Records indicate that Limbani has always struggled against Msoliza.”
