FMB has re-launched and rebranded its mobile money platform, FMB Mobile to First Mobile promising better and simplified banking services to the bank’s customers.

First Mobile will be offered through a US dollar based platform; making it accessible to all segments of the customers the bank services.

First Mobile will still be accessed through any type of phone but with added features to make it more robust

Speaking during the launch of the product in Blantyre earlier this week, FMB Group General Manager, Phillip Madinga, said the bank prides itself in being the first to lead innovations in the banking sector.

“FMB was the first privately owned bank to extend its footprint regionally, it was the first Bank to offer integrated on site cashiering and banking services. FMB was also first to offer extended banking hours, so that our customers can do more after regular banking hours, including bill payments. FMB was first to introduce card-less ATM withdrawals. The list is endless,” he said.

Madinga said the bank’s IT department put in a lot of work to make the menu more user friendly.

“This demonstrates the pride we take in our innovations, and keeping in mind that our products have to remain relevant on the market and deliver our promise to make banking friendly, simple and convenient,” he said.

“Going forward, we will not only be introducing new products and services, but we will also focus on perfecting our service delivery to our customers so that we can make banking even more convenient and simple. We want our customers to do more and keep FMB as their bank of first choice,” he said.
