Valentine’s Day, which falls on February 14, may be long gone but promises made on the day, which had a fair share of entertainment activities, remain valid.
And, in a typical case of living up to promises, mobile service provider, TNM— which in February asked customers to be its Valentines— has given out K1 million to some of the 43,000 people who responded to its call by sending love messages Senior Manager (Public Relations), Akossa Mphepo, said the Valentines promotion, which run for four weeks in February to commemorate the month of love, was well subscribed.
“We are pleased to have made 2017 Valentines month a special one for TNM subscribers. During our month-long promotion, our customers had the opportunity to share intimate moments virtually, and to rekindle their romance through our reliable network using the SMS platform,” she said,
Mphepo said apart from the grand prize of K1 million, six TNM customers received Xiaomi Smart Phones and airtime in weekly draws.
“We believe that this promotion has helped to make this year’s Valentine’s month truly special for our valued customers because once subscribed to the code 1717 they were able to receive romantic quotes, cute messages, romantic ideas, dating tips and flirting tips,” Mphepo said.
