Big Bullets axe Lungu, Ishmael

Nyasa Big Bullets have reportedly sacked Team Manager Rahim Ishmael and Assistant Coach Mabvuto Lungu following a string of unconvincing performances.

Bullets’ Board of Trustees’ Secretary, Jim Kalua, last night confirmed the changes in the Llyod Nkhwazi-led coaching panel two days after the People’s Team suffered an embarrassing 3-0 loss to rivals, Be Forward Wanderers in the first leg of Bus Ipite Bonanza.

“They briefed me about the changes but for more information talk to the chairman [Noel Lipipa],” Kalua said last night.

Bullets are clinging to hope for TNM Super League championship retention as they trail leaders Kamuzu Barracks (KB) by a point going into Saturday’s decisive match against Blue Eagles at Kamuzu Stadium.

To win the championship for a record 14th time, Bullets need the favour of Dwangwa United, who date KB in Chitowe, Nkhota-Kota District also on Saturday.
