Be Forward Wanderers undecided on Cup parade

Inaugural Fisd Challenge Cup champions, Be Forward Wanderers, are yet to set a programme for a parade of the cup to their Blantyre fans.

The Nomads paraded the trophy to their supporters along the M1 Road on Sunday as they returned from Lilongwe.

General Secretary, Mike Butao, said a stakeholders meeting set for yesterday evening was scheduled to finalise the matter.

“We are looking at several options here. We could take it around on Sunday or any other day in line with what will be agreed upon at the meeting. All options are open,” Butao said.

Team Manager, Steve Madeira, said the team was anxiously waiting for final say from club management on the parade.

“But we will surely have the parade to give our fans a chance to have a glance of our second trophy this year, apart from the Carlsberg Cup. It is like a Christmas gift to our fans and we have to present it,” Madeira said.
