Malawi National Football Team midfielder, Gerald Phiri Jnr, is on the verge of signing a contract with Platinum Stars following an impressive performance during trials from last week.
According to KickOff.com, Platinum Stars Coach, Cavin Johnson, is impressed by the 23-year-old’s performance during the trials.
“I am happy with what I saw. It is no longer up to me [if he is signed or not],” Johnson is quoted as saying.
The former Be Forward Wanderers player was deemed surplus to requirements at Bidvest Wits following a loan spell at Township Rollers last season.
Recently, Wits recently off-loaded Robin Ngalande, who remains clubless after ending his loan-spell at Platinum Stars last season.
