Civo United coach, Charles Manda, believes his team is slowly finding a perfect balance after beating Mzuni FC 2-0 at Civo Stadium on Sunday to progress to round of -16 of Fisd Challenge Cup.

Manda was under intense pressure to deliver the goods having gone five games without a victory since taking over from Millias Pofera, who was fired due to poor performance.

“Nobody gave us a chance to win against Mzuni but the boys have done it. I am really proud of the boys for showing strong character. If we continue playing like that, definitely we will surprise many teams in the competition,” Manda said.

Raphael Phiri and Raghtious Banda were on target for Civo. Manda has since asked his players to transfer the cup form to the TNM Super League.

“We are in an awkward position in the league, but we need to work hard to move out of the situation. I have so much faith in my players that they will die for the club in the remaining games,” he added.

On the Super League table, Civo are on position 12 with 19 points from 20 games.
