AHL Group has launched this year’s HIV and Aids awareness campaign targeting the northern districts of Chitipa and Mzuzu with fervent calls to people in the tobacco industry to get tested to know their sero status.
AHL HIV and Aids Coordinator, Leornard Chakwawa, said AHL understands the negative impact of the pandemic on the players within the industry.
AHL launched the initiative in 2010 and during this year’s launch, 43 people received HIV counselling and testing.
