Miracle Chinga set to launch mother’s album in September

by

Miracle,, daughter to late songbird Grace Chinga will launch her mother’s album Esther on September 11 at Comesa Hall in Blantyre before moving on to Sheaffer Hall in Lilongwe on September 18 and then Mzuzu on September 25.

Her brother Steve confirmed this on Wednesday saying Miracle will go on a countrywide tour as part of the launch.

“We are now ready to launch my mother’s album and at the moment I am managing my sister. We have three albums which my mother left so the plan is that we will launch the first this year and follow it up with a DVD and then the second with its DVD and then the third with its DVD,” he said.

Steve also clarified that the title of the first album is not Nzaulula as some quarters have put it but its title is Esther.

Nzaulula was a promo song I did with my mother and we were just trying out things otherwise she already had her albums on the ground,” he said.

Steve also clarified that his sister will not be performing at any show but rather her first show will be at Comesa Hall during the launch and Miracle even posted this on the social media.

This follows some posters which have indicated that she will be performing in some of the shows including the Mzuzu Grand Gospel show this Sunday at Boma Park.

“Miracle will not be performing in Mzuzu or any other shows; the first show is the launch. What happened for the Mzuzu show is that we failed to agree on some of the things but then they had already printed the poster,” he said.

The organisers of the Mzuzu show could not be drawn to say what happened.

Some of late Chinga’s songs were pirated which forced some people to ask relatives to launch the album but they could not as Miracle was writing her Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations.

Chinga died in March this year and her other albums include Thandizo Langa and Korona.
