Malawi Postal Corporation (MPC) Darts Team has vowed to win all major darts tournaments after successfully retaining the Presidential Darts Championship in Mzuzu recently.

This is the fourth time since 2011 that MPC have won the Presidential tourney. It is also the third successive time that they have defended it.

The competition in Mzuzu attracted 10 teams from Darts Association of Malawi (Dam) affiliates, including Mzuzu, Lilongwe, Zomba and Blantyre darts leagues.

MPC senior player, Chipiliro Mzanda, said they were determined to win all major tournaments, including defending the Dam Cup.

“There is no better way to kick-start the season. We finished all games unbeaten. The gap between us and the number two was six points,” he said in reference to C2K, formerly Capital Glass, who ended on second place.

“In all the games we played we may say that the easiest game was against Domasi College of Education (DCE) who we beat 19-0 and the toughest was against SDI, which ended 19- 16 in our favour,” he said.

Mzanda hailed MPC for the sponsorship.
