Edgar ndi Davis which is spearheaded by lawyers Davis Njobvu and Edgar Kachere have revealed that they will launch their new album in the United States of America.
Njobvu said in an interview that they have been working on new songs and that its album will be launched in USA.
“This being our first show in USA we thought we should take advantage and launch our new album. We have not given it a name yet but its ready and we will announce its title during the launch,” he said.
Njobvu also said that veteran musician Giddes Chalamanda famed for hits Che Meli and Liny will launch his own album in USA.
“It will be a double launch which is great. This trip is big for Edgar ndi Davis but also Giddes Chalamanda who will fulfill his long-time dream of seeing America,” said the singer and guitarist.
He said that after the double launch in USA, they will also do the launch in the country.
Njobvu maintained that all was set for the USA trip although they were still looking more funds.
“We are still in need of support, it’s a long trip so we need some pocket money on the way and again it’s not all about money we also need people’s prayers,” he said.
The group has been holding fundraising shows to raise funds for the trip and Njobvu admitted that they did not manage to raise enough.
He then hailed people for their support throughout their journey in music.
“Without people’s support we could not have been here so we say thank you for their support. Keep on buying our original works and refrain from buying pirated works,” said Njobvu.
According to Njobvu, they are expected to leave the country end this month before the performances next month.
Youthful singer Patience Namadingo will also join Edgar ndi Davis and Chalamanda on the US trip.
