Platinum Events, who are the organisers of the South Africa House group Mi Casa concert, have said people should brace for the best during the show which will be held at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe on Saturday.
The organisers have since revealed that Mi Casa will jet into the country on the same day of the concert.
Platinum Events organiser and promoter Claudia Thorncroft also hailed TNM’s partnership saying it has created accessibility of tickets.
“TNM came on board with the common interest of creating more accessibility for tickets through Mpamba and we are privileged to have TNM as a partner,” said Thorncroft.
Thorncroft added: “We have been planning this concert for three months and preparations are all in place and Mi Casa is very excited to come to Malawi for the first time.”
Meanwhile with only three days to go to the Mi Casa Warm Heart concert, TNM which is the official telecoms partner, has said it will be dishing out three tickets to lucky winners through a social media promotion.
A press statement from the mobile company, which recently came out to announce a 15 percent ticket discount for those buying through their Mpamba service said the free tickets were part of the discount package.
TNM’s Marketing Manager Madalitso Jonazi said they want more people to be part of the concert hence giving out the three free tickets through a promotion on social media.
“The whole idea is to appreciate our customers and demonstrate that we are a truly Malawian network that enables them feel great about their social life,” said Jonazi.
He said that TNM is a smart data network that provides customers reliable access to internet allowing them to enjoy social media platforms for engagement with the brand and the world at large.
Jonazi said for people to enter into the promotion, they need to like, comment, tweet and share Mi Casa’s picture and hashtag on TNM’s Facebook page, twitter and Instagram.
He said most likes, comments, most shared and retweets would enable one to win a standard ticket for the concert.
Jonazi added that in the countdown to the Saturday show, tickets which Mpamba TNM is offering at 15 percent discount are now fast running out.
“The limited tickets on offer are fast running out. I encourage fun-loving Malawians to get their tickets in the comfort of their homes or offices through their handsets courtesy of Mpamba,” he said.
Jonazi said to access the 15 percent discount tickets, registered Mpamba customers are required to dial *444#, select 3 for payments and then follow the other instructions.
The standard tickets for the concert are selling at K20,000 but with Mpamba customers are buying the tickets at K17,000.
Thorncroft called on people to come in large numbers and be part of the Mi Casa concert saying all the members of the group are coming and that they would give a live act.
She said seven members were coming including the group’s tour manager, who arrives tomorrow.
The group said in a video recently that they were excited to perform in the Warm Heart of Africa for the first time and that they were prepared for the concert on Saturday.
According to available information, Mi Casa is a group made up of three members namely Dr. Duda (producer) and pianist, J’Something (vocalist and guitarist), and Mo-T (trumpeter).
The band was formed in early 2011 in Johannesburg when all three future members were at a night lounge and decided to perform together.
A few months later, they released an album titled Micasa Music, which “went gold” quickly and won several awards at the 18th Annual MTN South Africa Music Awards in 2012
