Big Bullets ‘spy’ on Blue Eagles

Nyasa Big Bullets technical panel, led by head coach Franco Ndawa, was on a spying mission on Wednesday when Blue Eagles and Silver Strikers clashed in a Presidential Cup match at Silver Stadium.

Ndawa was seen at the stadium accompanied by Technical Director, Billy Tewesa.

Bullets face Eagles in Presidential Cup round- of- 16 match at a venue to be announced.

“I enjoy watching my opponents. I have seen that Eagles are playing well at the moment. It will be a different game against us,” Ndawa said.

Eagles coach, Derlerk Msakakuona, hailed his charges for defeating Silver 4-2 on post-match penalties.

“It will be a final before the actual final, but hopefully we will do well. Bullets are a good team and definitely they will come hard on us,” Msakakuona said.

During the match, the Eagles scored their spot-kicks through Wister Phiri, Chisomo Chilasa, Gilbert Chirwa and Philip Masiye, whereas Silver converted through Lucky Malata and Thuso Paipi.

Eagles substitute goalkeeper, Chakonda Majanga saved spot-kicks from Kondwani Mwaila and Clement Trota.

Meanwhile, frustrated by their exit in the cup, some Silver fans bayed for referees’ blood.

The supporters manhandled assistant referee, Hendrix Maseko, after the game.
