Musician Francis Dangoman Kadango famed for the hit ‘Manga Mabuleki,’ which put him in the limelight is back in the fold and set to re-launch his career.

The singer admitted yesterday that his music career was on the verge of collapse having been out of the picture for some time.

But he said he is now back in line and that having monitored the industry he is ready to shake once again.

“The base of finance for me has been very difficult and so this affected me greatly. Again you may recall that in the past years we were dealing With OG Issa when it came to album sales and distribution but we had differences and so I was frustrated,” he said.

Dangoman, who has shared the stage with several other artists in the past years including Lucius Banda and Mlaka Maliro, said he wants to make it up to his fans and that he is ready to give them more mature songs.

“On that note I would like to inform Malawians that I am currently in the studio working on a new album which will be out by the end of this month and this is no joke. It’s an album which has a variety of songs just to reach out to all generations,” said the musician.

He said Black Missionaries lead vocalist Anjiru Fumulani has played a very big role in assisting him to record the album.

Dangoman said the album is being produced at Active A Productions in Blantyre by Amos Mlolowa.

“This is the third album which is titled One Love. It’s taken me a lot of time and at the moment we are just remaining with mixing and a few other gray areas,” he said.

With the industry now being dominated by new artists, Dangoman said despite starting his music career way back, he believes he has done enough to study the market.

“I actually take solace from artists like Anthony Makondetsa who are doing much better now and so what can fail me from excelling, it’s all about doing good music,” said the musician.

He said having been out of the stage, he is also set for more live performances and that he will come back to announce which band he will be performing with.

Dangoman said the album has songs such as ‘Nthawi,’ ‘Wamkulu,’ and ‘Chetechete.’

The musician released his debut album Ndili Nanu which has the track ‘Manga Mabuleki,’ in 2001 before dropping Maso Patsogolo in 2007.
