Police in Lilongwe have arrested Malawi Congress Party publicist Jessie Kabwila. The arrest comes hours after the police released on bail another Malawi Congress Party Official Ulemu Msungama. Police are yet to communicate the charges levelled against Kabwila. But it is alleged that Kabwila, Chakhwantha, Msungama and other MCP officials were planning on WhatsApp to overthrow the Democratic Progressive Party government. Malawi Congress Party deputy spokesperson Ezekiel Ching’oma has confirmed the arrest of Kabwila.
