BE Forward Wanderers have signed seasoned forward, Peter Wadabwa on a two-year deal following the expiry of his contract at Silver Strikers.
The deal was completed on Wednesday after the player rejected contract extension at Silver Strikers.
The Nomads general secretary, Mike Butao, confirmed the deal.
“Wadabwa is back to his boyhood club and we have finalised everything with him. He is still a great player, and we hope he will help us next season,” Butao said.
The Nomads are also in the process of signing TP Mazembe midfielder, Joseph Kamwendo who is reportedly unhappy to return to Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mazembe loaned Kamwendo to Don Bosco last year.
Butao said they would contact Mazembe on the possibility of signing the former Flames captain on loan after the player expressed interest to re-join them.
“We are interested in signing Kamwendo because he would bring creativity in the team. We need his experience and quality to guide some of the youngsters,” he said.
Wadabwa said it was a dream come true to return to Wanderers.
“I knew one day that I will come back at Wanderers because this club means a lot to me. I will do my best to help the team,” Wadabwa said.
The former Escom United forward is popular with his pace and goal scoring prowess.
Wanderers have already signed Wizards FC duo Rafik Namwera and Ernest Tambe in the on-going transfer window.
